The Developmental Program is designed specifically for kids ages 4-7 who are interested in having fun. Through Bloomington United’s programming, they will also learn foundational skills that will equip them to start playing competitive soccer against other communities by age 8.
Training sessions include 1) game-like activities that encourage competition and lots of touches on the ball and 2) scrimmages that help players start to understand positions and how to play as a team.
Developmental Program Features
- Our program caters to players aged 4-8
- All sessions are at locations within Bloomington, MN or surrounding communities
- Players are placed in coed groups at the youngest ages to support an inclusive, learning environment
- Our primary focus is on honing soccer skills while fostering a genuine love for the sport. An emphasis is placed on developing technical skills alongside fitness and agility training.
- Our sessions are led by club trainers and assisted by our dedicated parent volunteers who adhere to meticulously crafted developmental lesson plans, overseen by the Bloomington United Director of Coaching (DOC).
